The FC2000 Gas & Steam Flow Computer uses the following calibration equations for gas and steam (including condensate):
Ideal Gas Corrects temperature and pressure, but ignores compressibility.
General Gases Calculate the compressibility using the Redlich-Kwong' equation of state.
Calculate super compressibility using the Natural Gas NX-19' equation.
Steam Equations Steam equations for saturated and superheated steam (including condensate), mass and energy flow rates are calculated using standard equations to determine the ratio and enthalpy of steam.
It can handle inputs from a wide range of flow meters including vortex, turbine, orifice plate, averaging pitot tube wedge and Bi Flowmeter.
Additionally, if two differential pressure transmitters are used in an orifice or similar device, the two differential pressure transmitter inputs are individually accepted and adjusted with automatic crossovers to increase the measured flow range.
